Instructions

  2. Blend freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Incorporate the egg.
  4. Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, half of the strawberry powder, and salt until combined. Stir in strawberry jam.
  5. Shape dough into balls (about one inch) and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 8 minutes; flatten slightly by tapping the baking sheet, then bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. For icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, hot milk, vanilla extract, and remaining strawberry powder until smooth.
