  • 1 egg
  • 2 small coriander roots
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup finely diced carrots
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • 2 dried shiitake mushrooms (soaked and finely chopped)
  • Dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the spice mixture by crushing coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic using a mortar and pestle.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend golden mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce until combined.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine ground pork with the sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch. Pulse until smooth.
  4. Transfer the pork mixture to a bowl and mix in the crushed spices and vegetables.
  5. Shape the dumplings by placing filling on wonton wrappers and sealing them securely.
  6. Steam the dumplings for about 10 minutes until translucent.
