- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the yeast mixture, stirring until combined.
- Knead the dough using a stand mixer or by hand until smooth and elastic (5 minutes with mixer; 8 minutes by hand).
- Mix in rosemary and parmesan cheese, form into a ball, place in a greased bowl, and let rise covered for about an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into eight pieces. Flatten each piece, place one mozzarella cube inside, seal, and shape into ropes before twisting into pretzel shapes.
