- For the Frosting: ½ cup butter (room temperature)
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces melted white chocolate
- ½ tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8 x 8 pan by lining it with nonstick foil.
- In a small bowl, combine cocoa powder, red food coloring, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract to create a paste.
- In a mixer, cream the room temperature butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by the remaining vanilla and the cocoa paste. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt; blend just until mixed.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, cream together another portion of butter until fluffy. Slowly add powdered sugar and melted white chocolate; adjust consistency with milk if necessary.
